PALIN, May 25: Palin-Chambang MLA Takam Pario urged the government officers in Kra Daadi district to be sincere and work for the welfare of the people.
Addressing the district development, coordination and monitoring committee meeting at the deputy commissioner’s office here on Thursday, the MLA said there are complaints from the locals that officers are not present at their places of posting.
“It should be the endeavour of everyone to serve the society to bring in development,” Pario said.
Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu spoke about centrally-funded schemes which are being implemented in the district, and said such meetings are necessary to review the status of schemes and projects.
He asked all the officers to prepare progress reports and submit utilization certificates for completed schemes.
ADC (HQ) S Lowang also spoke.
TVs distributed
Pario later distributed 266 LED television sets to the GBs of Palin in a function at the general ground here on Thursday.
He informed that the state government has increased the honorarium of the GBs, and urged them to monitor all the schemes being implemented in the constituency.
Among others, Ligu, ZPC Rido Mina, ZPM Tarh Monica, and panchayat members were present.
