KEBANG, May 30: The circle office here in Siang district was inaugurated on Wednesday by local MLA Tapang Taloh. The office has been constructed under the 2011-’12 SPA fund.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh, PRI members, and GBs were present at the function.
Addressing the gathering, the MLA spoke about the vast potential of the area in tourism, agriculture, and horticulture sectors. He exhorted the locals to be development-oriented and cooperate with the government departments for all-round development of the circle.
The MLA gave assurance that he would take steps to upgrade the circle to an EAC headquarters in the near future.
The DC sought the people’s cooperation in preventing encroachment, saying availability of government land is vital for establishing infrastructure and carrying out developmentactivities.
PWD Executive Engineer Limi Niri and CO In-charge Rani Mibang were also present.
Kebang administrative circle was established in 2009,and has around 10 villages under its administrative jurisdiction. (DIPRO)
