ITANAGAR, May 30: The Arunachal Pradesh Information Commission (APIC) has imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on Aalo PHE&WS Division Executive Engineer Kirba Sora for refusing to furnish information sought by appellant Marto Tali, pertaining to implementation and renovation of water supply projects in Gemoyijo of Gemo Tali villages in West Siang district.
The APIC has directed the officer to furnish the information to the appellant by 15 June, failing which it said it would invoke Section 20(2) of the RTI Act and recommend disciplinary action as per the provisions of the service rule.
