Assn seeks CT scan facility at TRIHMS

ITANAGAR, May 30: The All Arunachal Contractors’ Welfare Association (AACWA) has urged the director of the Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) in Naharlagun to provide CT scan facility at the institute.
In a press release, the association expressed displeasure over the lack of a CT scan machine in the TRIHMS, saying many patients from far-flung areas come to the TRIHMS for medical treatment but face problems owing to the lack of a CT scan machine there, as the poor patients cannot afford to pay to private laboratories.
The association also urged the director to ensure that funds received from the central government for the development of the lone medical college of the state are utilized properly.
Meanwhile, an official of the TRIHMS informed this daily that tender for installing a CT scan machine in the institute has been floated.
