CHANGLANG, Jun 1: The Changlang district administration conducted its first ‘Jan sunwai sammelan’ at Rangkatu village on Friday.
During the programme, documents such as ST, PR, income and birth certificates were issued and ration cards renewed. Besides this, Aadhaar enrollment was done, free health check-up was provided, and anti-rabies vaccines administered to the people during the programme.
LED bulbs and fans were also made available on subsidized rates through the APEDA. Officials of various departments apprised the villagers of the various state and centrally-sponsored schemes.
The parents were informed that Aadhaar enrollment and opening bank accounts would be made mandatory during admission to schools.
Around 500 people from various villages availed the benefits of the opportunity.
