MLAs distribute TV sets under CMRIS

RUKSIN, Jun 4: Parliamentary Secretary and Pasighat West MLA Tatung Jamoh on Monday distributed colour TV sets to 94 head gaon burahs and gaon burahs serving in different villages in his constituency.
The TV sets were granted under the Chief Ministers’ Rural Information Scheme (CMRIS).
During the distribution ceremony at the ADC office here in East Siang district, Jamoh urged the HGBs and GBs to “avoid nepotism in case of conflict or dispute, and ensure natural justice to the local villagers.”
Describing the GBs as “village magistrates,” he urged them to never misuse their power.
He said the Pema Khandu-led state government is taking up more schemes for the welfare of the GBs of the state.
Meanwhile, Pasighat West MLA Kaling Moyong distributed TV sets to 59 gaon burahs and gaon buris on the same day at the DC’s conference hall in Pasighat, and in Yagrung.
DPO P Boring said 31 TV sets were distributed in Pasighat, and 28 were distributed in Yagrung.
The MLA assured the GBs that he would provide them with DTHs and radio sets from his own means. (With DIPRO input)
