WAKRO, Jun 24: A three-day teacher’s orientation programme concluded successfully at the Beena Ghose Roy enclave here on Sunday.
Addressing the valedictory function, Dharmendra Kumar Bhateria, Commandant, 25 ITBP, appealed to the teachers and elders in the community to sensitize the youngsters about use of technology, social media and mobiles while also cautioning about the abuse of information technology in modern-day life.
Expressing concern over the challenges faced by the society due to drug abuse, especially opium addiction in Anjaw, Namsai and Lohit districts, he hoped that education and good grooming by teachers and good educational institutions will help the society overcome many social evils and challenges.
The commandant also interacted with teachers, elders and members of the Anu Shiksha Seva Trust and Society and assured of all possible support from the border guarding force.
“The Indo Tibetan Border Police is always willing to share responsibility for speedy development and growth of the society and people of the border areas”, he said.
Teachers Nishin Mepo, Chandan Kumar Jha and Kamlesh Raut also shared their views and appreciated resource persons – Satyanarayanan Mundayoor, Vijay Swami and Omkar Pradhan -for their inspiring guidance during the training program.
Earlier, on 22 June, the programme was inaugurated by Swamini Geetananda.
