GHSS’ condition shocks AAPSU

ITANAGAR, Jul 13: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) has expressed “shock and sadness” at the deplorable condition of the government higher secondary school (GHSS), Itanagar.
Members of the union, led by its education secretary Prem Camdir Tallong on Friday visited the school, and later claimed to have found it without basic facilities and infrastructure.
“There is no drinking water and other facilities like toilets and washrooms in the school.
The basic infrastructures, which were developed many years ago, are now lying in a dilapidated condition, which requires immediate renovation,” said the AAPSU in release.
The union urged all the stakeholders, including the students, the teachers, the school management committee and the parents, to contribute voluntarily to the school to make it a better place for teaching and learning, and not depend on the government all the time.
