Dilapidated roads

Dear Editor,
I would to like draw attention towards the dilapidated road condition in Itanagar.
The so-called high profile four laning road project of Chandranagar to Papu Nalah has been causing a great hardship to the common denizens of the twin capital city of Itanagar and Naharlagun.
The people are going through a harrowing time while commuting along this stretch of road.
The office goers and the student community along with the patients are the worst sufferers.
The VVIPs may not be affected by these problems as they are travelling in their jumbo sized SUVs, but even for a pedestrian or two-wheeler riders, it gives a nightmarish negotiations plus additional burden of dust and mud.
Bike riders add to the woes of common people. Some day back a scooter riding girl was hit by such a biker and the girl is in serious condition at R.K.M hospital.
Therefore the need of the hour is to take a serious note of it on the part of the authority and the highway executing company to take certain measures to meet the problem. It appears that the authority is turning a blind eye to this grave issue.
Yours,
Phurpa Tsering Komu
