ITANAGAR, Aug 19: Mahila Congress leaders from across Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday resolved to work together for strengthening the Congress party at the grassroots level in the state.
The decision was taken during the state level executive meeting of the Arunachal Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee (APMCC) here on Sunday.
Participating in the meeting, All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) secretary-cum-Arunachal Pradesh in-charge Kim Haokip encouraged the APMCC and women Congress workers to take active part in political activities.
APMCC president Nabam Yakum informed about the introduction of the new flag of the Mahila Congress and the successful launch of the Shakti project, and urged the party’s women cadres to ensure the success of the Priyadharshini project which will be launched in Arunachal Pradesh soon.
Several women Congress leaders including representatives from district Mahila Congress units also spoke.
