E&F dept’s western circle office inaugurated

BANDERDEWA, Aug 24: Environment & Forests (E&F) Minister Nabam Rebia requested the officers of his department to strictly maintain work culture for the speedy development of the state.
He said this while addressing the officers of the E&F department and local officers on Friday, during the inauguration of the department’s western circle office here.
Rebia congratulated the department on the establishment of the office, and expressed hope that it would be properly maintained.
PCCF Rabindra Kumar informed that the office was constructed as the old one, which had been constructed in the ’60s, was not in proper shape.
Banderdewa DFO Neelam Nido highlighted the features of the new building. He also informed about plantation drives and awareness programmes conducted by his department.
PCCF (Wildlife & Bio-diversity) R Kemp, PCCF M Surya Prakash, Banderdewa CO Neelam Teji, former PRI and IMC leaders, and residents of the area were present at the inauguration.
The dignitaries later participated in a plantation drive in the area.
