Businessman donates Rs 10 lakhs for Kerala

NAMSAI, Sep 6: The proprietor of M/s AK Enterprises here, Aditya Mein, has donated Rs 10 lakhs to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund for the flood victims of Kerala.
“The said amount was donated to express solidarity with the people of Kerala in this hour of grief and sorrow along with the rest of the nation,” Mein stated in his forwarding letter to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The manager of AK Enterprises, Sibsankar Dutta, handed over the cheque worth Rs 10 lakhs to state BJP president Tapir Gao, in the presence of Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom here on Thursday.
The amount was transferred online to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
Earlier, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein also donated his August month’s salary to the relief fund. He joined the rest of the nation in paying homage and offering condolences to the bereaved families of the flood victims.
