NAMSAI, Sep 6: Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein informed that, under the SIDF, he has decided to construct small restaurants worth Rs 3 crore, which would be leased out to deserving unemployed educated youths.
He said this during the inaugural function of a new family restaurant here on Thursday.
Lauding the proprietor of Arun Jivita Family Restaurant, Nanda Mannow, for her entrepreneurial skill, Mein called upon the educated youths to draw inspiration from her and venture into such entrepreneurships.
He said the state and the central governments have many schemes for entrepreneurship and skill development of unemployed educated youths and they should avail such benefits.
“Namsai is one of the fastest growing districts in the state, and it is also going to be one of the most favoured tourist destinations, owing to its improved road surface communication,” Mein said, and added that the district headquarters needs good hotels and restaurants to accommodate tourists.
