KOLORIANG, Sep 10: National Nutrition Week was celebrated at various anganwadi centres under the Koloriang ICDS project in Kurung Kumey district. Programmes were organized at the anganwadi centres in Electric Line, ALC Colony, and Ampongne here.
The CDPO, the supervisor, and the gram sevika participated in the programmes and advised the pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children to take locally available nutritious foods when SNP items are not available in the stock.
The deputy commissioner attended the concluding day of the celebration on 7 September at the Ampongne anganwadi centre.
He asked the anganwadi workers to feed the children SNP items regularly. He highlighted the importance of various government schemes, and of properly implementing those schemes to ensure that their benefits reach the target beneficiaries.
