RGU students perform play on cleanliness

RONO HILLS, Sep 21: A play on cleanliness under the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ programme was performed at Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) here on 19 September to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The play, titled ‘Mission Swachhata – A Gandhian Play’, an adaptation of Mulk Raj Anand’s novel Untouchable, was performed by the students of the university’s English department, and directed by Assistant Professor Prachand Narayan Piraji. The script for the play was developed by Assistant Professor Bompi Riba.
The play was witnessed by, among others, RGU Vice-Chancellor (in-charge) Prof Amitava Mitra, Registrar (in-charge) Prof Tomo Riba, languages faculty Dean Prof Harish Kumar Sharma, Controller of Examination (in-charge) Dr David Pertin, English HoD Dr KC Mishra, and Assistant Professor Dhiriti Sundar.
