YINGKIONG, Oct 5: Anganwadi workers, ASHAs, government officers, and members of NGOs, Mahila Mandal, SHGs, Women Welfare Society, etc, of Yingkiong block participated in four-day sensitization programme on the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme (BBBPS), which concluded here on Thursday.
Organised by the Upper Siang district administration, the programme featured discussions on topics like BBBPS, the POCSO Act, Prohibition of Domestic Violence Act, Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, etc.
Union women & child development ministry’s Assistant Project Officer AK Bhattacharya was the master trainer of the programme, while DMO Dr Dubom Bagra, DCPU Legal Officer Akoying Tekseng, and DCPU Protection Officer Okit Jongkey were the resource persons.
The inaugural day of the programme was attended by, among others, Yingkiong ADC Tamik Talom and lady police officer Koki Tayeng. (DIPRO)
