PAPU NALLAH, Nov 2: ‘Coconutoons’ – a four-day Malayalam cartoon exhibition organized by the state unit of the All India Malayalee Association – began at Good Shepherd Public School here on 1 November.
The event is being organized simultaneously by the AIMA at 31 centres in different parts of the country to commemorate the statehood day of Kerala and the centenary of Malayalam cartoons.
Altogether 100 cartoons depicting sociopolitical developments are being displayed during the exhibition.
The programme is being organised with support from the Kerala Cartoon Academy, the Kerala Lalita Kala Academy, and the Kerala Media Academy.
Commandant of 138 CRPF Bn, Ashok T inaugurated the programme here. The exhibition will remain open to the public from 2 pm to 5 pm till 4 November.
