ITANAGAR, Nov 19: The Arunachal contingent bagged four medals, including a gold, in the 6th North East Youth Festival, which was held at Agartala, Tripura, from 15 to 18 November.
The group of artists comprising Tepu Raji Tamin (vocalist), Bapu Dulom (guitarist), Hilom Dulom (bassist), Chachum Leriak (drummer) and Karan Bdr Rai (keyboard player) won the gold medal in the rock band event.
Bikash Das and Bapu Dulom bagged a silver medal each in clay modelling and instrumental guitar.
The group of Vijay Dui, Siba Soki, Lily Maying, Michi Yapa, Longe Game, Nani Konia, Soma Barman, Yamak Dedu, Lilup Sengbam and Yamik Nyokir won a bronze medal in folksong.
Competitions were also held in folk dance and painting.
A 33-member contingent from Arunachal Pradesh participated in the festival, which was organized by the union youth affairs & sports ministry in collaboration with the Tripura government.
