JOLLANG, Nov 19: Tugung Namchang, a village here in Papum Pare district, was inaugurated by Itanagar Market Welfare Association (IMWA) president Yumlam Achung on 17 November.
Speaking on the occasion, the IMWA president assured the Tugung Namchang Welfare Committee (TNWC) that urgent steps would be taken to address the issues raised by the committee through a memorandum submitted earlier.
The TNWC demanded immediate construction of a road and a protection wall, providing electricity and water supply, and installing dustbins in the area.
Social activist Techi Atum was also present on the occasion.
