ITANAGAR, Dec 9: A 15-member boxing team from Arunachal Pradesh left here for Punjab on Saturday to participate in the second Junior National Boxing Championship (U-17) to be held at Mohali from 12 to 17 December.
The team comprises 10 boys and five girls, informed Arunachal Amateur Boxing Association secretary (admin) Teli Kahi.
“This championship is also the qualifying event for the Khelo India Youth Games, scheduled to be held in Pune, Maharashtra, from 9 January, 2019,” Kahi said.
He said all the medal winners, including bronze, would qualify for the Youth Games.
