State team for National School Games Karate leaves for MP today

ITANAGAR, Dec 21: A 25-member team comprising 16 boys and nine girls from Arunachal Pradesh will participate in the 64th National School Games Karate 25 to be held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, from 26 to 31 December.
Prior to the team’s departure for the Games, an interaction session with the karatekas was organized by the secondary education directorate here on Friday.
Briefing about the School Games, Secondary Education Director Gania Leij advised the young karatekas to maintain discipline and focus on the game.
The interaction programme was also attended by the directorate’s Finance & Accounts Officer S Yomgam, DDSE S Ronrang, Youth Welfare Officer L Sokun Singh, Arunachal Karate Do Association president Likha Tara, general secretary Bulang Marik, treasurer Tai Hipik, and the directorate’s sports & youth service state coordinator Takam Pate were.
The team will be leaving for Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.
