DGBR visits forward areas

AALO, Jan 17: Director General of the Border Roads (DGBR), Lt Gen Harpal Singh, has directed the staff of the 44 BRTF to gear up to achieve their allotted tasks in the current financial year.
The DGBR said this during his visit to the Tato-Manigong-Tadadege and the Yarlung-Lamang road sectors under the 44 BRTF in Shi-Yomi district on 16 January.
Commending the work done by the GREF personnel for “nation-building in these difficult terrains in inclement weather,” he stressed on quality of work as well as safety of the persons while working.
Lt Gen Singh, accompanied by Additional DG (East) PKH Singh, also interacted with the BRO troops in the forward areas and motivated them to ensure early completion of the ongoing works.
Later, the DGBR visited the headquarters of Project Brahmank’s Chief Engineer RK Dhiman in Ranaghat, where the CE briefed him on the works being executed by the BRO. (DIPRO)
