Prog on innovation in teaching conducted

ITANAGAR, Jan 18: A weeklong programme on ‘innovation and rejuvenation of teaching in higher education’ concluded at Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) here on Thursday.
Addressing the valedictory function, Tezpur University’s (TU) Teaching Learning Centre (TLC) Director Prof MK Sarma urged the participants to “remain innovative and updated by applying the information and communication technologies in the classroom regularly.”
DNGC Principal Dr NT Rikam in his speech lauded the TLC for choosing DNGC as one of the colleges to conduct their outreach programme at, and requested the TLC director to organize more such programmes at the college in the future.
Programme coordinator Dr Eli Doye also spoke.
Rajiv Gandhi University Vice Chancellor Prof Saket Kushwaha had inaugurated the programme on 12 January.
Fifty faculty members from different colleges and RGU participated in the programme, which was organized by DNGC in collaboration with TU, with union HRD ministry’s sponsorship.
