Awareness prog on Ayushman Bharat at Dego vill

AALO, Feb 6: The Field Outreach Bureau, Aalo unit organized a special campaign to create public awareness about the Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) at Dego Village here in West Siang district on Wednesday.
Touted as the world’s largest government funded healthcare programme, AB-PMJAY provides a cover of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization. It provides cashless and paperless access to services for the beneficiary at the point-of-service.
Health Department, District Programme Coordinator Chirstina Gadi highlighted the key features of the health programme and advised the public to avail the benefits of the schemes, which have been specially launched for the poor, deprived rural people.
Head Gaon Burah of Dego village, Hogda Lollen also urged the public to avail the benefits of various welfare schemes launched by the central and state governments.
M Basar (FOB) highlighted the aim and objective of the programme.
Earlier, a public awareness rally was taken out, which was participated by government employees, local public leaders, gaon burahs, students, Anganwadi and ASHA workers and general public.
The programme was organized in coordination with the district health department of Aalo, West Siang, Government Secondary School Dego and women self-help group of Dego Village.
A similar outreach programme on Ayushman Bharat was organized by the Tezu unit of the Bureau of Outreach & Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting at the Government Upper Primary School, SSB Camp, New Danglat in Lohit district on Wednesday.
The programme was organized in close coordination with the district health department to create awareness among students and villagers about the AB-PMJAY.
