PASGIHAT, Apr 3: Caretaker Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday blasted the opposition parties, saying they were misleading the public by claiming that they had the BJP’s support.
Addressing a huge rally with Prime Minister Narendra Modi here in East Siang district, Khandu said other parties were using the name of the BJP to garner votes.
“They are using our manifesto. They are misleading the people by saying that by voting for the opposition, they are voting for the BJP,” he said.
Khandu also took a dig at the Congress, saying the party was not even able to put up 60 candidates.
“The Congress has just 47 candidates and we don’t even know who these candidates are,” he said.
Heaping praises on Modi for bringing connectivity to the state, Khandu said Arunachal Pradesh would repay him by sending two BJP representatives to the Centre.
