Two Arunachalees clear UPSC exam

ITANAGAR, Apr 5: Ojing Dameng and Techi Kumar from Arunachal Pradesh have cleared this year’s prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Examination.
While Dameng secured the 651st rank, Kumar stood at 682.
Dameng had cracked last year’s UPSC exam too, and is an IRS officer. A native of Millang village in Upper Siang district, he did his MBBS from JIPMER, Pondicherry, in 2015.
Kumar is a native of Rayung village in Kra Daadi district. He has completed BE. Both his parents are working in the health department.
Kanishak Kataria, a BTech graduate from IIT Mumbai, has topped the civil services final exam. Kataria qualified the examination with mathematics as his optional subject.
Srushti Jayant Deshmukh is the topper among women. She secured the fifth rank overall.
Of the top 25 candidates, 15 are men and 10 are women. Altogether 759 candidates, comprising 577 men and 182 women, have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service, the Indian Foreign Service, the Indian Police Service and the Central Services, Group A and Group B.
