ITANAGAR, Apr 10: Governor BD Mishra has expressed happiness over the improvement in Rajiv Gandhi University’s (RGU) position in the MHRD’s National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings.
RGU has been placed 99th among the 907 universities in the country in the recently declared NIRF rankings.
“It is a brilliant accomplishment which reflects team work and good leadership,” the governor said in a statement.
He said the credit for the achievement goes to each and every member of the university.
Mishra, who is also the chief rector of the university, emphasized the need to further improve RGU’s environment to make it a centre of excellence in teaching, learning, and personality development of the students.
He expressed hope that with honesty, transparency, vision and teamwork, RGU would be able to climb to a single-digit place on the ranking ladder in the near future.
The governor expressed hope that the National Institute of Technology and the NERIST in Arunachal Pradesh would also work hard to improve their rankings among the technical institutions of the country. (Raj Bhavan)
