DC visits OWA, assures help to children

NAHARLAGUN, Jun 2: Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Gupta visited the Oju Welfare Association (OWA) here on Saturday.
During the visit, OWA chairperson Ratan Anya briefed the DC on the various activities being carried out by the association.
Gupta visited the specialized adoption agency of the state, and assured to provide every possible help to the children. He took stock of Women Helpline-181, which is a telephone emergency service for women in difficult situations, and the one-stop centre – both of which are administered by the capital complex DC.
Gupta also visited the legal aid clinic which provides legal aid and support to victims through advocates and paralegal volunteers.
The DC also visited the Child Care Institute and interacted with the children, besides visiting several vocational training units where survivors are provided with skill training.
