Hundreds benefit from health camp

NAMSING, Jun 17: As many as 493 patients, including 316 females, benefitted from a ‘multi-specialty health camp’ organised at Namsing village in East Siang by the district unit of the Mukhya Mantri Rogi Kalyan Kosh on Sunday.
The camp, which was inaugurated by retired IAF group captain Mohonto Panging Pao in the presence of DMO Dr Kaling Dai, provided a range of services, including medicines, surgeries, paediatric, ophthalmology and ENT treatment, vaccination, and such.
“Super speciality services like urology was also outsourced from Dibrugarh (Assam),” said the DIPRO.
Among other things, “six cases of pregnant ladies with breech presentation, three cases of gall bladder stone, three cases of kidney stones, four cases of ovarian cysts and three cases of uterine fibroid were detected, and IEC of various health programmes were also carried out,” the DIPRO said.
