ITANAGAR, Jun 18: Thirty-five farmers representing various self-help groups in and around Papum Pare district are taking part in a four-day vocational training programme on ‘value addition of seasonal fruits and vegetables’ which began at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) here on Tuesday.
In his inaugural address, KVK Head Dr Bangkeng Perme advised the farmers to take up vocational training in order to boost their income.
Home science specialist Nane Taga informed that the farmers would be imparted training on proper packaging and labelling techniques to help them bring their produces to the markets.
