Now, APPSC will conduct exams for group-A and B Gazzated and group-B non-gazatted posts only. Group C and D posts have been entrusted to SSB. Group A and B (Gazzated posts ) comes under APPSCCE and group-B non-gazzated posts are not part of it.
When District level officer (HOD ) are on leave , group-B non-gazette officers takes the charge. Hence, Group B non-gazette posts are also important. So, only deserving and qualified candidates should be recruited to these posts. Competence of candidates for these posts cannot be tested merely by maths knowledge, General English and General knowledge.
In the line of APPSCCE, recruitment of group-B non-Gazzated posts should be done on three stages i.e prelims, mains and viva –voice. But since, it will not be exam for gazette posts, there should be only one optional paper and one General studies paper in mains exam
I would like to appeal to APPSC and concerned authority to replace maths paper with optional paper for group-B non-Gazzated posts. Those who want to have maths , may go for maths as his /her optional paper. This will give fair competition to non-maths background candidates, otherwise again we non-maths background candidates will be minority in final selection list of group-B non-gazzetd posts exam.
