NARI, Jul 24: Saplings were planted and distributed during a plantation drive along the roadside at Nari town in Lower Siang district on Tuesday.
Organised by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Nari-Koyu block in collaboration with the Department of Environment & Forest, Nari division, the plantation event was attended by local BJP legislator Kento Rina, who besides leading the plantation drive with a plantation of his own, advised and encouraged the gathering to carry out such environmental-friendly activities on a regular basis.
Nari Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bani Lego, Divisional Forest Officer T Mize, Range Forest Officer O Moyong, along with Nari-Koyu BJP mandal president Marbom Doye also took part in the plantation drive.
