Status report of CO’s death case sought

ITANAGAR, Jul 29: Taking suo moto cognizance of the case involving the unnatural death of Sagalee CO Marngam Bagra in Naharlagun on 25 July, the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) has sought the status report of the case from the superintendent of police and the officer-in-charge of the Naharlagun police station.
Extending heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the APSCW appealed to all sections of the society to cooperate with the police.

Death mourned
Meanwhile, the officers and staff of the deputy commissioner’s office in Upper Siang HQ Yingkiong observed a two-minute silence on Monday as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
The district unit of the APSCOA described Bagra as “a very fine, bright and dedicated officer (who) earned enormous reputation during her short career as an administrative officer,” and conveyed sincere condolences to the bereaved family. (With DIPRO input)
