ITANAGAR, Aug 10: Arctic Singh Haobam of the NERIST, Nirjuli, and Neelam Dilli of Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA) won the senior men’s and women’s single titles in the first Arunachal Pradesh State Ranking Table Tennis (TT) Championship, which ended at the MLA Cottage indoor hall here on Saturday.
The runners-up titles in the senior men’s and women’s categories were won by Tarh Maph and Abhime Mihu, both from SLSA, respectively.
MLAs Laisam Simai and Gabriel D Wangsu, and Sports Director Tadar Appa attended the closing function, and distributed the prizes to the winners. Papum Pare Table Tennis Association (PPTTA) president Chukhu Tacho and PPTTA secretary Bengia Tada were also presented.
The winner, runner-up and third position holder in each category were awarded Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000, respectively, along with medals and certificates.
Organized by the PPTTA under the aegis of Table Tennis Arunachal, the championship was participated in by 96 players from various districts, sports academies, schools, DDK Itanagar and the NERIST.

Cadet girls (singles) – Maitri Rahi (first) Lisha Loyi (second), and Diming Phassang (third), all from HIM International School.
Cadet boys (singles) – Lokesh Kumar Singh (first), Omprit Roy (second), and Roshan Sah (third), all from Changlang.
Sub-junior girls (singles) – Neelam Dilli (first), Erne Mili (second), and Abhime Mihu (third), all from SLSA.
Sub-junior boys (singles) – Tarh Maph (first), Getit Nopi (second), and Bralo Miso (third), all from SLSA.
Junior girls (singles) – Haril Rahi (first, HIM Int’l School), Neelam Dilli (second, SLSA), and Nungki Siboh (third, SLSA).
Junior boys (singles) – Nalo Komut (first, East Siang), Bralo Miso (second, SLSA), and Tarh Maph (third, SLSA).
Women’s singles – Neelam Dilli (first), Abhime Mihu (second), and Eme Mili (third), all from SLSA.
Men’s singles – Arctic Singh Haobam (first, NERIST), Tarh Maph (second, SLSA), and Getit Nopi (third, SLSA).
