TEZU, Aug 17: Volunteers from Indira Gandhi Government College and the All Mishmi Women Welfare Society participated in a voluntary blood donation camp organised at the zonal hospital here in Lohit district on Saturday.
The camp was organised by NGO AYANG in collaboration with the district administration and the health & family welfare department.
Speaking during the programme, DMO Dr S Chai Pul emphasized the need for creating awareness on blood donation, “so that more people voluntarily donate blood.” She informed that a blood component separation unit will be set up at the district blood bank here next year.
AYANG founder Aini Taloh shared her experiences of being associated with blood donation, and urged youths to donate blood as much as possible.
Tezu Assistant Commissioner Sunny Singh was also present. (DIPRO)
