Misra advocates discarding single-use plastic

ITANAGAR, Sep 23: Neelam Misra, wife of Governor BD Mishra, appealed to the people of the state to stop using single-use plastic and keep the environment clean and green.
Misra made the appeal during an interaction with officials and staff of the Raj Bhavan here on Monday. She also appealed to the people to minimize the use of plastic in daily life.
“We must set a benchmark of cleanliness in our premises to motivate people around to follow suit,” she said.
Joint Secretary to Governor, Mamata Riba Naksang, and Senior Medical Officer Dr Jennifer Tayeng also spoke.
Besides a PowerPoint presentation, a documentary on the Swachh Bharat initiative at the Raj Bhavan, conceptualized and dubbed by Misra, was screened. (Raj Bhavan)
