District-level coordination committee meeting on NDD held

PALIN, Sep 25: A district level coordination committee meeting-cum-orientation training of National De-worming Day (NDD) was held at Panchayat conference hall here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Kra Daadi deputy commissioner S. Miji.
In his address, the DC stressed upon the importance of the National De-worming Day for the younger generations who will grow up into a healthy society in their later years. He exhorted that all earmarked activities must be completed within the given timeline.
“No single child should be left out during the programme,” he said and advised the teachers to play pro-active role in getting the children administered with the government provided Albendazole tablets. He also stressed the need for conducting of awareness campaigns in various circles/blocks with the involvement of circle level committee.
Kra Daadi DRCHO Dr. Magong Pangkam informed that children from 1 to 19 years would be administered Albendazole tablets at every 6 months to keep the parasitic worms at bay. He also informed that a timeline of different activities has been fixed from 26 September to 30 October for effective implementation of the month long activities.
District Medical Officer in-charge Dr. Gimi Tang urged all to get enrolled under Chief Minister’s Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY), a health assurance scheme that will enable citizens to avail cashless health services in empanelled hospitals. (DIPRO)
