Libang urges pharmacists to rededicate themselves to fulfill healthcare needs

NAHARLAGUN, Sep 25: Health & Family Welfare Minister Alo Libang urged the pharmacists to rededicate themselves to the cause of health care and improvement of health sector in the state.
“The pharmacists, earlier known as compounders, play an important role in fulfilling the healthcare needs of the patients,” Libang said while addressing the ‘World Pharmacist Day’ celebration here on Wednesday.
He assured to fulfill the demands of the pharmacists in the state.
In view of the growing demand for the pharmacists, Libang said that establishment of pharmacy college in the state may be taken up.
Director of Health M Lego said the pharmacists being the healthcare providers have a great responsibility in the field of healthcare delivery.
Administrative Institute Director Pate Marik, Family Welfare Director Dr. Alok Yirang, Arunachal Pradesh Pharmacy Council (APPC) president Tsewang Gyatso, APPC registrar Nangbia Tapin also spoke on the occasion.
