7 karatekas to represent India at South Asian Karate C’Ship

ITANAGAR, Nov 5: Seven karate players from Arunachal will represent the country at the three-day 5th Cadet, Junior, U-21 and Senior South Asian Karate Championship beginning at Dhaka, Bangladesh, on 7 November.
The state team, accompanied by India coach S Deben Sharma, left here on Tuesday evening to join the national team at Kolkata, from where they will leave for Dhaka on Wednesday.
The karatekas are Bahadur Ekke, Doni Neri, Anand Cheri, Nani Leriak, Karsang Yanga, Raja Yangfa and Johny Mangkhiya.
Another technical official from the state, Bulang Marik, along with Karate Association of India president Likha Tara, has already arrived in Dhaka.
