Union alleges illegal construction on RoW

BALIJAN, Nov 5: The All Papum Poma Students’ Union has written to the Papum Pare deputy commissioner, alleging that structures have been constructed illegally on the right of way (RoW) in Sangdupota circle.
The union stated in the representation that the people of Sangdupota circle donated land for the construction of the government law college, the NIT, the Film & Television Institute, the Entrepreneur Development Institute, and the government women’s college, besides refraining from seeking compensation for the construction of the two-lane road from Itanagar (Gohpur Tinali) to Basernello (Sangdupota).
Stating that construction of structures on the RoW “may give complications while executing the said project,” the union sought the DC’s intervention and needful action to stop the alleged illegal construction of structures along the RoW in Sangdupota circle.
