Parents’ role crucial for children’s academic success: CM

BOMDILA, Nov 27: Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that parents’ role is crucial for children’s academic success.
“Education is primarily built on three pillars-teachers, parents and students,” Khandu said, advocating strong family engagement in promoting children’s success.
The CM, who attended the final day of the 13th Annual Drub-Chod-Chen-Mo Cum Bomdila Torgya 2019 at Gontse Rabgyelling Monastery here on Wednesday, appreciated the Buddhist Culture Preservation Society (BCPS) for organizing the annual Torgya festival and also for felicitating the CBSE school toppers from the Mon region.
He distributed the certificates and cash prizes to the CBSE toppers and the ‘certificates of appreciation’ to other Monpa achievers. Khandu also and felicitated singer Urgen Tsomu.
The CM also thanked Monpa Mimang Tshokpa for adopting schools in Mon region and appreciated similar steps taken by other community based organizations in their respective areas.
Earlier, the Khandu was presented with a citation by Bhiksu Sangha of Gontse Gaden Rabgyo Ling Monastery, Bomdila acknowledging his positive interventions and unparalleled contributions to the state. (CMO)
