Health department receives SKOCH award for CMRRS project

NEW DELHI, Dec 1: States Health and Family Welfare department has been awarded SKOCH Award for Northeast in Gold category, the highest independent honour in India, for the project ‘Chief Minister Renal Replacement Society (CMRRS)’.
Director of Health Services (DHS) Dr Moromor Lego along with State Epidemiologist Dr Lobsang Jampa and Dr Dipu Lowang received the award on behalf of entire team of the CMRRS during 62nd SKOCH summit held here at Constitutional Club of India on Friday. It recognizes people, projects and institutions that go the extra mile to make India a better nation.
The award goes through multiple level of scrutiny such as call for nomination, short listing of project through internal evaluation by experts, evaluation presentation to the panel of expert jury and peers, popular votes (15% weightage) on twitter, SKOCH Order of Merit, and finally the SKOCH award wherein exhibition and promoting of project during SKOCH Summit and expert votes by registered conference delegates (15% weightage).
Earlier, Dr Moromor Lego, DHS and Dr Lobsang Jampa had interactive evaluation presentation before the jury on 9th November at PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi.
The CMRRS is the initiative of Government of Arunachal Pradesh that provides financial aid to the patients undergoing renal transplant, and consultancy support and necessary facilitation to the patients with End Stage Renal Diseases (ESRD).
So far 14 patients have benefitted since its establishment on 29th January, 2019 and more than 10 patients have applied for the scheme.
