YINGKIONG, Dec 2: A district level coordination committee (DLCC) cum enforcement squad meeting was held under the aegis of district tobacco control cell (DTCC) at the DC’s conference hall here in Upper Siang on Monday.
DPO Dr. India Modi presented a brief overview of NTCP and status of district tobacco control cell and various provision of COTPA, 2003 and briefed the roles and responsibilities of the committee members and requested every member to take active participation in making, the district tobacco free.
Inspector Tax & Exercise suggested to identify the wholesale dealers in order to minimise the saleof tobacco products in the district.
Chaired by the deputy commissioner Tapar Pada, the meeting was attended by DDSE N Tasing, Deputy Superintendent of Police Opir Paron, Town Magistrate Pandov Perme, DDA A. D Paggeng, DTO Dr. Ahir Miyu and BEOs of different blocks. (DIPRO)
