Flagging in ceremony for educational tour held

ITANAGAR, Dec 2: The flagging-in ceremony for the educational tour conducted by ITBP under its civic action programme was held at force’s North East Frontier Headquarters at Khating Hill here on Monday.
A group of 30 students from Tuting GHSS, accompanied by four teachers, were taken to Delhi and Amritsar (Punjab), where they visited the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Rail Museum, Nehru Planetarium, Akshardham Mandir, Rajghat, India Gate, Lotus temple, Jallianwala bagh, Attari border etc.
Students with good academic performance were chosen for the excursion in order to motivate other student to do well in studies. The tour was aimed at giving the students a ground exposure to the rich culture and heritage of India as well as instill them the feeling of unity with the people of other parts of the country.
During Flag-in ceremony, the students also interacted with IG and other senior officers of the ITBP.
Meanwhile, the students expressed their gratitude towards ITBP for providing them such an opportunity.
