KHONSA, Dec 12: The 2020-21 gram panchayat development plan (GPDP) for Tirap district was approved and passed during the meeting of the district planning committee for panchayati raj (DPCPR) chaired by DC (in-charge) Jalash Pertin here on Thursday.
The GPDP was submitted by the chairman of the interim committee of the district’s gram panchayats. The plan was earlier prepared through a ‘people’s plan campaign’ held across all 56 gram panchayat headquarters.
“The GPDP received from the chairman/member secretaries of various anchal blocks for final approval of the DPCPR has been proposed under the 14th Finance Commission Grants, the MGNREGA, and schemes of all the line departments relating to 29 subjects listed in Schedule 11, as per Article 243 (G) of the constitution,” Pertin said.
He advised the members to “scrutinize the proposals and rectify, if required,” and urged them to “ensure that all the villages are covered in the schemes/proposals submitted, because no scheme can be implemented in the future without incorporating them in the GPDP and after uploading the GPDP schemes to the Plans portal.”
He also directed the district facilitator and the PTAs to upload the final GPDP to the Plan Plus portal before 31 December. (DIPRO)
