ITANAGAR, Dec 19: The Kurung Kumey district unit of the All Arunachal Contractors Welfare Association in a representation to the RWD commissioner here on Wednesday sought cancellation of the earlier published tender, No EE RWD LY/SIDF/RE/TENDER/2019-20, 8 November, 2019, and republishing fresh tender in the interest of the bidders.
The unit claimed that the RWD published the tender notice on 7 November in a local newspaper, “with the last date of tender opening 12 November, 2019, giving only five days for participation of tender by the bidder.”
“As per the guidelines for publication tender estimate cost (Rs 20 lakhs to Rs 2 crore) at least 10 days’ time should be given to bidders. The bidders in this particular case did not get sufficient time to participate in the tender process,” it said, and claimed that the Laayeng Yangte RWD division failed to take any initiative in the matter despite the unit having submitted a representation seeking the tender’s cancellation and re-publication.
