ITANAGAR, Dec 19: The All Nyishi Youth Association has submitted a representation to the chief secretary, urging him to direct all DCs and ADCs to issue corrected ST certificates and other documents to the members of the Nyishi tribe who had earlier inadvertently obtained ST certificates of other tribes.
“There are many clans from the Nyishi tribe who inadvertently amalgamated into other tribes due to ignorance of their genealogy. After thorough research of the genealogical order by consulting with the elders of the society, now they want to make corrections in their ST certificates, but some of the deputy commissioners of the state are intentionally creating hurdles in the process of correction,” the ANYA alleged.
