Congress remembers Subash Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary

ITANAGAR, Jan 23: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) celebrated the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose here on Thursday at the Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan with floral tribute to the portrait of Bose.
APCC president Nabam Tuki, in his speech, remembered the iconic freedom fighter by recalling the historic fight and resistance put out by the Indian National Army (INA) under the leadership of Bose, whose defiant patriotism made him a national hero.
“The slogan ‘Jai Hind’ coined by the INA under his leadership has become the regular greeting of all Indians. The day is celebrated to celebrate his unmatched love and patriotism for the country,” Tuki said.
On the occasion, Tuki also shared that the APCC will celebrate Republic Day by reading the preamble of the Constitution and by taking oath to safeguard it.
He said “the fundamental principles of Indian constitution are threatened by the BJP Government at the Centre. It is our prime duty to fight to protect the values enshrined in the constitution.”
He also informed that the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee will organize ‘Ekta Sammelan’ and inter-faith prayer on the occasion of martyrdom day of Mahatma Gandhi on 30 January at the Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan here.
AIMCC general secretary Kim S Haokip was also present on the occasion.
