Reh Badminton Championship concludes

ROING, Jan 24: Kaie Linggi won the under 15 boys’ single title in the 5th Reh Badminton Championship 2020 which concluded at the NabaIta Pulu Indoor Badminton Club here on Thursday last. In under 19 boys’ single category, Lapudi Mili won the championship. Lanji Mimi and Ukulinggi were the runners up under 15 and 19 boys’ single category respectively.
The women’s single (open) was won by Jiri Keche and the runners up was Lamey Mihu, while in the men’s single (open) the winner was Kiyon Manpong from Namsai, and the runners up was Aho Mikhu.
In the men’s doubles (open), the pair of Open Melo and Chrinmoi were the winner and the runners up were Kiyon Manpong and Smiyat Seng from Namsai.
In the 35 plus men’s doubles category, partners Open Melo and Chemenda Mega were the winners, and the runners up were Manna Hazarika and Suresh Chetri from Tezu.
In the 40 plus men’s doubles category, the winners were T Nyodu and Suresh Chetri from Tezu, and the runners up were Apomo Linggi & Jira Mito.
Altogether 150 players from 5 different districts participated in the championship which was organised by the Ita Pulu Badminton Club (IPBC) under the banner of Central Reh Celebration 2020.
Among others, BDO Angete Linggi and members of the Central Reh Celebration Committee 2020 were present on the occasion.
