Workshop on NERES 1.0 conducted

ITANAGAR, Jan 30: Entrepreneurs of the state participated in a workshop at a city hotel here on Thursday, in the run-up to the NER Entrepreneurship & Start Ups Summit (NERES 1.0) in March, which is being jointly organised by the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) and the Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region.
The workshop was aimed at promoting startup entrepreneurs of the Northeast region by offering them a platform to pitch their business ideas. The 20 best ideas from across the region will earn a startup grant of Rs 5 lakhs each.
Addressing the participants, the IIE’s CIE head, Sriparna B Baruah, and retired IIE faculty member, Pranab Kumar Sarmah, said the initiative would “open doors for many startups to scale who otherwise cannot move ahead due to financial constraints.”
Arunachal Pradesh Marketing Board CEO Okit Palling and motivators Kargo Basar and Takam Markia urged the entrepreneurs in Arunachal and other states of the region to be a part of NERES 1.0.
